The term e-mail forwarding describes an email message being forwarded from a recipient address towards a third-party address which isn't listed as a receiver. For example, a client sends an e-mail from their personal mailbox to support@domain.com and as far as they are concerned, this is actually the single receiver. If there is an active forwarding, the email might be forwarded to owner@domain.com, for instance, although the customer never intended the e-mail to be sent there and might not be aware of the presence of this mailbox. There are different purposes for applying such forwarding. For instance, if you have numerous emails it is easy to forward each of them to a one email address, which can make keeping track of emails less difficult and allows you to receive messages and respond to them in a timely manner. The function may also be used in case a number of people should receive a copy of an electronic message sent to a standard mailbox.
E-mail Forwarding in Shared Hosting
It is easy to set up forwarding for every e-mail address configured inside a shared hosting account from us. You can do this either while you set up a new mailbox through your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel, or any time later because the forwarding can be enabled and disabled for any active mailbox with a few mouse clicks. It's also possible to choose if a backup copy of the inbound messages will be kept on our servers, a pretty handy option. This can be a fail-safe if the remote email address is not accessible for whatever cause, not mentioning that you will always have a backup of all your e-mails. If this option is not enabled for a given e-mail address on our end, an inbound message will be received and sent forward, so absolutely no record of it will stay on our server. In case the remote email address is inaccessible temporarily, you will lose this e-mail.
E-mail Forwarding in Semi-dedicated Servers
For people with a semi-dedicated server through our company, it will take you only a couple of mouse clicks inside the Email Manager area of your Hepsia Hosting Control Panel to forward any of the e-mail addresses set up on our end to a third-party address. Inside the same section you will also be able to see how many of your email addresses are forwarded and exactly where the incoming e-mails are sent. You can activate or disable a forwarding account at any time and throughout the process you may as well choose if a backup of the email messages has to be kept in our system or not. Although this option is not a must have, it's helpful as you will get a backup copy of the emails on our end in the event that something happens with the third-party mailbox. Even if they've got just a short-term problem, you risk losing e-mails as when our system receives and forwards an e-mail message, absolutely nothing will be maintained on our end if you haven’t chosen a copy to be stored.
